edmunds.com Great resource to help determine new and used car prices, comparable models, warranty information, technical specs, and more.
intellichoice.com Helpful guide to assist in calculating ownership costs of insurance, repairs, depreciation, and other items over a 5 year period.
kbb.com Kelly Blue Book offers helpful a plethora of used-car information going back as far as the 1980 model year. The site also includes information on used motorcycles. 
leasesource.com Comprehensive listings of national lease specials, including the cheapest currently offered by automakers, as well as estimated residual values. Includes helpful comparative shopping tools such as typical lease contracts from manufacturers and 11 banks.
nhtsa.dot.gov Federal government's auto-safety watchdog, lists data on head, chest, and leg injuries from crash tests on vehicles going back to 1990.
